About BAYSA
Burgettstown Area Youth Soccer Association (BAYSA) is a non-profit organization that provides recreational and competitive team soccer for children ages 4 to 16. Our program draws players from Avella, Bulger, Burgettstown, Eldersville, Florence, Hanover, Hickory, McDonald, Midway and surrounding communities. Essentially, our players come from three local school districts - Burgettstown, Avella and Fort Cherry.
BAYSA has both in-house teams and travel teams. Our in-house teams practice and play at the Smith Township Field at 415 Joffre Cherry Valley Road, centrally located to the communities we draw from. Typically, in-house teams practice once a week on a regular schedule. In-house games are played on Saturday against other teams from our club, within the same age group. The travel teams are co-ed U12; please contact us if you are interested in joining one.
Our year consists of a fall and spring season. Teams are co-ed, and our focus is to teach the game of soccer, emphasizing sportsmanship while letting the kids have fun learning and playing the game. BAYSA referee's are sent for Referee Certifications or Recertifications as needed. We are a volunteer organization that relies on parent volunteers to operate all facets of our program.
BAYSA is a member of PA West Soccer.
